Natural Bug Spray

Recently we have been doing a lot of outdoor entertaining and in doing so we have to contend with those flying pests. I use a concoction that I mix up that really works and smells good. Spray as you need it around the perimeter of the area you are going to be entertaining in.
In a spray bottle mix a couple of drops of dish soap, about a half teas. lemon juice and water. That's it! I keep it on hand all summer. Let me know how it works for you.

I should have some new pendants within the next couple of days, but in the meantime I thought I would share some of my photos from my garden. My other great hobby, photography.

Inspired by gardens that we visited over the weekend I painted this little lady with a dragonfly, called "The Secret Garden". Then there is "Francine" which thinks that the future looks a little bleak!

Hope all is well with everyone. The weather here is fantastic. It's like late spring! I am loving the fresh vegetables and fruits that we are getting right now. Just wish it could be all year.
Hopefully I should have more pendants tomorrow.

New Pendants!

Here are a couple of new ones for you to look at. The first one is "Gothic Cinderella" and the next one is "Rosie the Fortuneteller". More tomorrow!

Back from vacation!

I just got back from an extended weekend at Mackinac Island. Oh how nice it was to escape for a while. We went a little further on the first day and visited the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. It was worth the extra hour and a half drive. The next day we spent on Mackinac Island, which I might add is not flat. Lots of steep hills, we walked the whole day, except for the last hour we decided to rent bikes. I haven't been on a bike in over 20 years, but it was so much fun. We felt like kids again, until we got off the bikes and felt the muscles tighten up.

Enough of the vacation stories! I have new pendants coming out of the kiln by this afternoon. I will post the pics here this evening. I'm still trying to add some new ones and keep up with the special orders. I should have even more by tomorrow. Check back this evening.

This is my newest steampunk pendant called "Bee On Time, Steampunk". This one started out with a man's vintage pocket watch case. I topped it with a vintage face, added a reproduction silver filigree back, added the vintage watch gears, then added the antique gold bee accented with pearl beads. Then for a little more fun, I added a string of seed beads around the watch face.
